Who we are
SleepWith is a sleep-accountability app for Android and iOS that helps you and your friends go to bed earlier, together. The data controller is Tom Chovanec (contact below).
Data we collect
- Account data — your email address, username, and an optional display name. On iOS you may also sign in with Apple, in which case Apple may provide a private relay email address instead of your real one.
- Sleep data — bedtimes, wake times, sleep durations and streaks. You enter these yourself, or on Android they can be detected on your device by the Google Sleep API when you enable automatic tracking. This feature is not available on iOS, where sleep is always logged manually.
- Social data — friend requests and friendships inside the app. Your sleep summaries are visible only to friends you have accepted.
What we use it for
Only to provide the service: showing your sleep history and streaks, and ranking leaderboards among your accepted friends. SleepWith is free — we do not sell your data, and we show no ads.
Where your data lives
- Supabase — hosted Postgres database and authentication (account, sleep and social data).
Sharing
Your sleep summaries are shared only with friends you have explicitly accepted in the app. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers, ever.
App permissions
On Android, SleepWith asks for the physical activity permission (ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION) solely so the Google Sleep API can detect your sleep on your device. You can decline or revoke it anytime; manual logging keeps working. On iOS, SleepWith only asks for permission to send you local reminder notifications; no other device permissions are requested.
Retention & deletion
We keep your data until you delete your account. Deleting your account — in the app via Profile → Delete account, or as described on the account deletion page — immediately and irreversibly removes your account, profile, sleep history and friendships.
Children
SleepWith is not directed at children under 13.
